Overton Colton is Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative & Risk Officer for Truxton. His responsibilities include credit risk, loan administration, and compliance. He was also one of the company’s twenty founding organizers. Prior to Truxton, Mr. Colton served for over 16 years in both marketing and management capacities with NationsBank / Bank of America and First American National Bank in private banking and large corporate banking. He also served as a consultant for Professional Bank Services, where he completed a number of consulting projects including strategic planning and credit reviews for community banks throughout Tennessee and North Georgia.
Mr. Colton holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of the South and a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is active in industry and community affairs. Mr. Colton is a current Board Member and past Chairman of the Board of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville. He is a Board Member of Middle Tennessee Council, Scouting America and Rebuilding Nashville Together. He also serves on the Credit Committee of the Tennessee Bankers Association.
