The Wealth Advisor (the Position) is responsible for the development, coordination and implementation of comprehensive wealth management services for Wealth Management Services’ (WMS) most sophisticated and complex client relationships.  The Position serves as the principal point of contact for WMS clients and is responsible for overall client service delivery and client satisfaction.  The Position requires a strong command of sophisticated wealth management practices and strategies and will serve as a thought leader and resource on various wealth management topics internally.  In addition to delivering world class customer service, the Position will be responsible for developing new and growing existing client relationships.  The Position will work closely with WMS internal and external professionals to deliver proactive and highly specialized wealth management solutions for WMS clients.    

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Help WMS clients articulate long-term financial and family goals and develop and implement plans to position clients for optimal personal and financial outcomes,
  • Act as a consultative and trusted advisor, anticipating client needs,
  • Serve as a resource and thought leader within WMS supporting the development of WMS staff and achievement of WMS goals,
  • Communicate extensively and proactively with WMS clients,
  • Maintain a deep and up to date knowledge of WMS clients’ financial and family situation,
  • Coordinate and collaborate with WMS staff to develop sophisticated and highly personalized delivery of comprehensive wealth management services,
  • Consult with attorneys, accountants and other advisors on financial, tax and estate planning needs,
  • Prepare presentations and facilitate ongoing client reviews in close coordination with other WMS professionals,
  • Establish and maintain business relationships with outside centers of influence such as CPAs, attorneys, local advisory board members, civic associations, and other individuals and organizations that will enhance WMS business development efforts,
  • Stay abreast of changing economic, legal, financial planning, investment trends, and general market and business issues,
  • Work within, reinforce and enhance established WMS policies, procedures and guidelines,

Additional Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics preferred,
  • Advanced degree JD or MBA preferred,
  • Professional designation of (CFP, CFA, CPA, etc.) preferred,
  • 5 – 10 relevant wealth management experience preferred,
  • Comprehensive, specialized knowledge and understanding of comprehensive wealth management industry, practices and issues,
  • Knowledge of trust administration and investment management,
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare and deliver persuasive oral and written reports and presentations,
  • Leadership ability and team building skills,
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and face-to-face relationship building abilities,
  • Demonstrated capacity to succeed in business development and client service,
  • Demonstrated capability to understand clients financial situations and personal circumstances, 
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver a distinctive and thoughtful client service in a manner that secures client confidence,
  • Demonstrated experience in communicating both written and orally with clients,
  • Track record in generating sales,
  • Background in general investment matters, tax and estate planning issues,
  • Ability to work independently and under time constraints,  
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work,
  • Ability to use computer, office software, document prep software, &
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
